We asked some of our Adult Beginners questions to see what they thought of Judo and the class. Here are their thoughts!
Why did you start Judo?
I started judo because my dad thought it would be a good idea for me to do something because I'm 'strong' - Ellen
We are proud to announce that after lots of hard work and dedication from our coaches and committee that we have met the quality standards in Effective Management, Quality Coaching and Competition and Safety in Sport and been awarded our Clubmark NI Accreditation from Sport NI and the Northern Ireland Judo Federation.
If you are aged between 5-12 years and would like to try Judo, feel free to come along and try Judo for FREE!
Judo is the 2nd most practiced sport in the world after football and has amazing benefits! It keeps children fit, teaches respect, improves confidence, coordination, balance, movement and agility, gives them a chance to meet new friends and most importantly, they have FUN!
We are very proud to announce that we have reached 500 members at Simply Judo Murakwai/Hazama!

It's been a fantastic couple of months for James Reid, one of Murakwai & Northern Ireland Judo's top talents!
In August James travelled to the Eastern Area's British ranking event in Norwich where he not only won his junior category but also won his first senior British ranking event!
We are setting everyone a challenge!

Judo burns a massive amount of calories, on top of that it improves strength and is a great sport for conditioning, improving flexibility while learning a new skill in a fun environment!
Murakwai Judo Club will be doing a sponsored throw on Tuesday 15th September 2015. This will involve the players doing 500 throws each. The aim is to raise funds for the club to enable us to buy new equipment and to help subsidise our players to travel to training camps and tournaments across Britain, Ireland and further afield (2016 Commonwealth Games in South Africa).

Tuesday nights from 1st September in the Enler Centre
6.15-7pm 5-8 years
7-8pm 9-12 years
8-9.30pm 13 years+
Thursday nights from 3rd September in Cregagh Community Centre
6.15-7pm 5-8 years
